Retort++: Open source artistic software development
Retort++ is an open source project which tries to integrate visual art within a digital development environment and/ or vise versa. Retort++ is developed to bring the fundamental basis of programming within a visual context and will serve as a software sketchbook and as a professional production tool. Retort++ it's end-goal is the realization of a database with open-source software for visual arts on the internet.
Np3 send a couple of months ago an call for proposals for projects that would fit the Retort++ database. From the proposals six interesting projects from eight artists are selected. In LANPING, a LAN-camping in NP3, these eight artists are given the opportunity to present themselves to the public at friday 15 september. The participants for Retrort++ are:
